Seamon and Pearlie Smith raised their family on the South Side of Trenton. Pastor Smith is the Matriarch of the Smith Family.  She served as a Paraprofessional in the Trenton Public Schools for over 25 years. All of her children, most of her grandchildren and nephews were in her class at Parker Elementary School in South Trenton.  Pastor Smith is the proud mother of eight children, 18 grand-children, and 23 great-grandchildren.

She earned a Doctorate of Ministry in “Prison Policy”, serves as the Director of Urban Ministry for the Foundation and is the Executive Director of Christ Centered in the City International Ministry
Jacqueline Hamilton

Jacqueline has a compassion for people and works diligently in her church congregation and with the homeless.  She has served in many capacities throughout her career but, enjoyed being a Nurse’s Aide most of all. Jacqueline heads “Jackie’s Store” a resource center for nonprofits in the city of Trenton.

Marsha is the 3rd oldest child of Seamon and Pearlie Smith. She worked for the State of New Jersey for 25 years and studied Human Behavior at Ashford University and Mercer County Community College.

Tracy worships, works and resides in Northern New Jersey. She is also a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Educational Technology.

Steven Smith received his certification in PC Support and Networking at Mercer County Community College. He graduated from Star Technical Institute with certification in PC support and Networking. Steven has been a supervisor for over 20 years at various companies such as Hutchinson Industries, Kenco Corp, and Universal Displays Corp.

Katherine received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Seton Hall University. Katherine is an educator who spent 12 years in the classroom and 5 years in roles of administration in the charter and public-school systems. Katherine is also a dedicated public servant having spent the last twenty-two years of her life in the non-profit sector. Katherine’s motto is My Life is My Worship!
Rene B. Idowu

Rene is a world traveled singer, songwriter, performing artist, and entrepreneur. She obtained her BA in Urban Planning and Design Major from Rutgers University. Business owner at Dests Group LLC – REI, Design, Entertainment, Legacy and Youth Turn Musical Arts Co. She is a Broadway Co Producer 20 times – Tony nominated. In 2021, she released a gospel single. Her aspirations are to become a household name in target market. In her free time, some of her hobbies includes baking cakes, tinkering with cool gadgets, and designing her home.
Tyrell Smith

Tyrell worked for the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Within the first year of being employed at the NJDOT he was promoted to truck driver. His promotion to Highway Tech 1 is noted as one of the shortest times for such an accomplishment at NJDOT. Currently, Tyrell is the Community Engagement & Special Events Coordinator at the Smith Family Foundation.
Harold Smith

With over 10 years’ experience in the financial industry holding positions from bank manager to financial advisor, Harold Smith has always been an advocate for teaching financial literacy to his community. With a strong desire to educate the youth of Trenton, Harold has used his position as a Youth Pastor to connect with city youth to teach and motivate young citizens to be productive contributing members of the greater community.

Maurice Smith

Maurice is a father, philosopher, social engineer, military strategist, and entrepreneur. Attended Montclair University from 2005 – 2009. Graduated from Brightwood College Electrical Technician Apprenticeship Program in 2017. Currently studying Human Systems and Behaviors at City Streets University. He finds success in the relationships he builds and continues to build with his family, friends and community. His goal and lifetime mission are to uplift fallen humanity.
Jodie Sessoms

Jodie received a BA in Criminology in 2010. She works for the State of New Jersey as a Labor Standards Compliance Officer. In 2018, she created C.O.R.E. (Caring Only Reaches Everyone) Enrichment Program with the purpose to educate, cultivate, and inspire children through altruistic service and dedication to developing and promoting academic success through creativity and intellectual nourishment for Trenton children 3-5 years old. She later went onto obtain a certification in STEM Education for K-12. She then pivoted into role as Director at Turning Point Discovery Center. Business owner of JS Inspired Designs in which she uses her talent of crochet to promote self-love, education, and inspiration by highlighting the beauty of melanin in brown boys and girls. She is passionate about community and number one goal is to motivate through education. In 2021, Jodie joined TruDoulas of New Jersey as Board Chair. Currently studying to become a Certified Lactation Counselor through Healthy Children Project – Center for Breastfeeding. Her coined phrase is “Knowledge is Power” and from this she bases her teachings on positive self-awareness, birth work, and living a healthy holistic lifestyle.
